Together for Wildlife

A Second Chance for the Wild

There is nothing quite like the moment a raccoon steps out of its enclosure and back into the wild. After weeks—sometimes months—of care, treatment, and round-the-clock attention, they pause at the door… and then they go. No looking back. Instinct takes over, and they return to where they belong.

These are the moments we work for.

Wildlife rehabilitation is not easy. Many animals come to us injured, orphaned, or critically ill. We fight for each one—through sleepless nights, complex medical care, and constant monitoring. Not every story ends the way we hope. Loss is part of this work, and it never gets easier.

But then there are days like this.

Days when not just one, but multiple raccoons are strong enough to be released—healthy, independent, and ready to survive on their own. Watching them run, climb, and disappear into the trees is the greatest reward we could ever ask for.

It’s proof that the work matters.

Why Your Support Matters

Every successful release represents:

  • Veterinary care and medical treatment

  • Specialized nutrition and daily feeding

  • Medications, supplies, and rehabilitation equipment

  • Hours of hands-on care and monitoring

Wildlife rescue is entirely dependent on community support. Every donation directly contributes to saving lives and making moments like these possible.

Help Us Create More Success Stories

Not every case will end in release—but every animal deserves the chance.

Your support allows us to continue:

  • Rescuing injured and orphaned wildlife

  • Providing critical medical care

  • Rehabilitating animals for return to the wild

Because for every loss, there is a release… and those moments make everything worth it.

Time is ticking! We are about a month away from taking in the expected 300 baby opossums, 55 baby raccoons, 30 squirrels plus other wildlife in need. Getting the new facility up & running has been expensive & much slower to complete given Tony's recent tractor accident. We appreciate any help

What's Happening Now

Trigger warning: graphic content.

This opossum is responding well to treatment after being attacked by dogs and sustained severe injuries.

Raccoon Rehabilitation

We are furiously getting ready for these critters. We expect to receive approximately 50 baby raccoons this season.

This little skunk's doing beautifully &, if all continues to go well, should be ready for release this spring. Watching these animals heal, grow, and return to the wild is the most rewarding part of what we do.
